Top Funny Questions Asked by Tourists

There are many weird and interesting questions that people ask.

Just because it's April Fools' Day in today's post, I want to highlight three of my favorites.

1. "What time do you let animals out?" This one's a classic. I've personally answered it several times. Some people seem to think Yellowstone is like a huge zoo where rangers let animals out from a barn every morning. Well, sorry to burst the bubble, but animals here roam free, with no fences or barns.

2. "Does Old Faithful go off in the winter?" Old Faithful, the famous cone geyser in Yellowstone, is known for its predictability. It's not a splash park feature—it's geothermal. We don't get to turn it off just because it's winter and there are fewer people to admire it.

3. "What are those red dogs chasing the bison around?" Now, that's a funny one. There are no dogs involved. Those small red creatures are actually young bison calves whose fur is reddish. They're bigger than dogs and very, very cute.
