Yellowstone Must-See List

If you’re planning to visit Yellowstone but are limited on time and wondering what the must-see attractions are, I have a list for you!

Here are the top 5 most famous spots in Yellowstone. And if you don’t want to waste time planning and doing research, I have a perfect product for you: a pre-made itinerary, "Yellowstone in One Day!" Just visit my site www.wyldreset.com and grab yours.

Also, here, you can grab a free list of must-see Yellowstone attractions and learn how to see them right.

Okay, let’s get back to our list.

1. Yellowstone Lake

This is my favorite part of the park. One of the best ways to see the lake combined with the hot pools is by visiting West Thumb. West Thumb is an area of the park created by Yellowstone’s latest volcanic explosion about 175,000 years ago. From the West Thumb walking trail, you can enjoy an awesome view of the lake, hot pools in the lake, and the surrounding areas.

2. Old Faithful

This is an iconic geyser that everyone wants to see. It’s highly predictable, and the schedule can be found on Yellowstone’s official website, here is the link. I’ve seen Old Faithful erupt hundreds of times, and it never gets old.

3. Grand Prismatic Spring

Also iconic, this is the picture that comes to mind when you think of Yellowstone. It’s big, beautiful, and so colorful. An absolute must-see in Yellowstone!

4. Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

This huge canyon, with its beautiful colors, has inspired many artists (one of the canyon overlooks is even called Artist Point for that very reason). You can see pictures of Yellowstone’s canyon, but seeing it in real life is breathtaking—1,000 feet (304 m) deep! Definitely a must-see.

5. Yellowstone’s Upper and Lower Falls

These are amazing, huge, and powerful waterfalls, and they are very accessible. You can get very close and feel the power of the falling water.

  • Upper Falls: 109 feet (33 m) high

  • Lower Falls: 308 feet (94 m) high

The Upper and Lower Falls, combined with the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, give you the chance to see three natural wonders at once.

Of course, besides these, there are many other beautiful places in Yellowstone. I am in love with this place, and I hope you have a week or even a month to explore. But I understand that sometimes time can be an issue, so I would recommend seeing at least these most popular sites—they’re famous for a reason! And then, come back for more.

We at Wyld Reset did our best to make your time in Yellowstone easy and enjoyable. Happy exploring!
